How is a club sandwich made?
Three slices of toasted bread are layered with three different varieties of meat (ham, turkey, and bacon), lettuce, tomato, and cheddar cheese in this classic sandwich. Although stacking may appear laborious, we assure you that it is what gives this sandwich its flavorful punch. If you want to create the traditional club, follow the stacking sequence as it is vital and traditional!

Since bread is one of the main ingredients in this dish, we advise you to choose carefully. Choose a high-quality, freshly sliced type (artisan sourdough is highly recommended), and lightly toast it to the point where the butter melts in while you spread it. The structural integrity of the sandwich is further enhanced by toasting, and the layers of flavor are given a hint of richness by buttering.

You can add some heat to this traditional sandwich by substituting some components, if you want to break with tradition. Among our best swaps, perhaps? Swap the deli ham for the prettier and marginally more flavored mortadella. You can use veggie or turkey bacon instead of the bacon if you’d like things to be a little lighter.
